“My husband and I were owners of a town house in popular Thornhill area. We purchased a new home before selling our townhouse assuming we would have no problem selling it due to the high demand in the area. Unfortunately, there were plans to build 5 condos basically in our backyard and this showed to be the biggest obstacle to selling our home. We were signed with different agents for 60 days with absolutely no success and very few showings. Once the contract expired, five other homes on our street went up for sale. Despite being on vacation at the time, they were in contact with us immediately.
